It's hard to believe tomorrow is Easter already! Well, I've been holed up down in my craft space trying to get some of the things on my to do list done before I have to go back to work on Monday and my list doesn't look any shorter! (insert sad face).
I've been working on a scrapbook for my daughter Jenn for her benefit we had back in June. I thought I was ready to do this and it's harder than I thought it would be, but I am now down to just three more double pages before it is completed. Jenn was diagnosed with Breast Cancer over an year ago and she has been through a lot this past year as a single mom with two beautiful boys. She made it, as she is cancer free!
My older daughter and a co-worker put together a benefit for Jenn, and it was very sucessful! The pictures are wonderful, looking at them and seeing how so many came to support her and all the items that were donated for the cause. It unbelievable how caring and supportive people you do not know are at times like this. It really blows you away!
Well, there is another cause out there that needs our support, so if you haven't seen Gina K's new "LOVE YOU TO PIECES" then you need to drop by http://stampsforacause.ginakdesigns.com/ see what all the talk is about. By purchasing this set, you will be helping to support a very important cause Autism Speaks. Did you know that 1 in every 133 children are affected? 3 out of 4 are boys. In truth it is amazing how many families this touches. So please go order your set now and $8.00 of your purchase will go to Autism Speaks.
OK, so I finally started on my Easter goodies this evening and will get pics posted tomorrow when the lighting is better as I seem to be in a learning curve with how to take pics that are good for posting. ")
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter!
Thanks for stopping by!

Proud to be a Women
Spotted this on Scrappin Stef's blog and thought it was good to share!
It is good to be a woman:
1. We got off the Titanic first.
2. We can scare male bosses with the mysterious gynecological disorder excuses.
3. Taxis stop for us.
4. We don't look like a frog in a blender when dancing.
5. No fashion faux pas we make, could ever rival the Speedo.
6. We don't have to pass gas to amuse ourselves.
7. If we forget to shave, no one has to know.
8. We can congratulate our teammate without ever touching her rear end.
9. We never have to reach down every so often to make sure our privates are still there.
10. We have the ability to dress ourselves.
11. We can talk to the opposite sex without having to picture them naked
12. If we marry someone 20 years younger,we are aware that we will look like an idiot.
13. We will never regret piercing our ears
14. There are times when chocolate really can solve all your problems.
15. We can make comments about how silly men are in their presence because they aren't listening anyway.

Treat yourself

I am just loving this bella. Makes me think of my best friend in Az. When we were neighbors in California and things were stressful or we just wanted to have a few hours of me time, we would call one another and say time to go for a cup of coffee at IHOP! So this card is going to be in the mail tomorrow to Arizona and even thought we can meet at IHOP, we will still share a cup of coffee and think of each other.
Spring flowers
Well, not sure what happen to the beginning of Spring, we are in the 40's and not looking to get back to some Spring weather until sometime next week hopefully. We had high 80's on Monday and Tuesday and dropped to the 40's Wednesday evening. I took my three youngest grandsons to the park on Tuesday and forgot the sunscreen, (not good) as they all ended up with sunburn on their faces and necks. Boy did I feel so bad, poor little guys.
With Spring break this week, I'm not getting as much stamping done as I would of like too. I've been spending my time playing with the grandsons, since I don't always have the chance with working full time. I had Matthew and Nicholas spend the night on Monday and Taylor on Tuesday and enjoyed my time with them so much. Nicholas decided he was going to be a big boy and learn to use the potty chair. He is such a character and we had to get out some stickers and a piece of card stock taped to the refrig so we could show our process with each time we made it to the chair. He actually did quite well, only one accident and of course that because mama forgot to ask him if it was time while he was busy playing outside.
Tonight I was able to spend some time with my stamps and took a stab at making a diagonal tri- fold card. Decided to make it for an Easter card. I even cut on some of my Basic Gray paper and liked the Springing look of this Phoebe paper.

It's in the genes

Sorry, lots of post today but one last item before I leave for the day. I will be having company spending the night tonight so won't have time to play on the computer. Our little nickleman and Moose will be spending the night at mamas tonight so I will be playing with the grandson.
Ok - I walked into Hunter's room the other day and found his creative juices where working as he created his very own railroad town with anything and everything he could find. Yes that is cardboard, milk carton and your guess is as good as mine. I will be hiding my chip board from him that's for sure.
Happy hello

Flowahbella

Oh what fun to play with Bella's, I stopped at my local scrap store today and picked up some Brazil cs, this one is Limeade which I used for the basic card, the pattern paper is tickled pink - Journey, I layered her with regal rose and certainly celery. I colored her in with my SU water color pencils since I just ordered my prismas markers. Can't wait to get them I hear they are awesome to work with. The ribbon is from American Craft and is pretty much regal rose with white dots, I used my ticket punch on the corners and added light green brads on all four corners. The pics not the best, please bear with me while I practice how to get the best shots.
Bella's
Are you a Bella fan? Then you have to check out the new Yahoo group that Jenstampz created. She got some Bella swaps going on and RAK happening, so check it out to see some great talent in the photo gallery. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bellaholicsanonymous/
Another spot you need to go to is www.stampingbella.com, to see all the Bella's, Emily has posted her latest Bella and this one will knock your socks off. This is a must have for me, since my DH has a beauty parked in our garage. So since I can't drive his, I have to get one of my own. Mine will be less $$$ and more fun!

You go girl!

Good ole Betty Boop! My DD loves this gal and one of my friends received it in a bag of goods from TAC. Since she isn't fond of Betty herself, I thought why not I would give her a shot on a card. The pattern paper is from Joann's Spring stack on white cs, since I haven't been able to get my hands on the scalloped punches (love the oval) I did this free handed with Fiskars scalloped scissors as you can tell not the best looking scallops, I colored in her dress with my SU watercolor pencils and blender pen, the ribbon red w/ white dots is from Michael's and I used dazzling diamonds on her dress, the saying in the lower right hand corner is $1 Michael's " You go Girl" saying. I think I need to go back and use some versamark and black embossing to bring out the sayings. Not sure I really like it other than it's Betty Boop and she is cute.

Taking a stab at a box purse

Took a stab at making a box purse after seeing Chi Chi Allen's pretty little purse on SCS. So for my first attempt I thought of my friend Tammy who is just as addicted to stamping as I am and loves to try out new projects for gifts. For her, I thought she would like some personalize note cards. I used Signature Suite paper for the box and added a prima flower held with a SU brad to the front so the brad would hold down the front fold. Notecards are made with SU Regal Rose and accented with the Signature Suite paper and SU choclate chip and close to coco. For the inital I used a rub-on alaphbet, since I cut the matting as 1 3/4" and 2" then realized that my stamps were either too large or too small. After completing the little box I decided not to add the purse strap as I kind of like the look of the little pocket box. I thought it turned out rather cute if I may say, so of course I made myself one just to have to sit on my self in my craft area. LOL ladies...
